Move, look after and analyze your information in Microsoft 365, just by asking.

Sendero is an assistant for your company’s information in Microsoft 365. It migrates your files without opening access by mistake, looks after them, and turns your Excel files and lists into flows, reports and alerts you ask for in plain words. AI proposes, you decide.

Moving to Microsoft 365?

Migrate from file servers, SharePoint Server, OneDrive or Egnyte with permissions kept and every file verified. Then Sendero stays to look after it.

An assistant for your information in Microsoft 365

It starts with what is urgent: getting off the file server. Sendero analyzes what is there, moves it to SharePoint with its permissions and proves everything arrived. Then it stays: every night it checks whether people still save to the old server or someone opened a folder too wide, and when something needs a decision it leaves you a message with what to do, even when you are not signed in. And when you need something new in SharePoint (“a list to track hours”, “turn this Excel file into a list”), you ask in plain words and it prepares it for your approval.

Deterministic where it matters. Intelligent where it helps.

  1. Migrate

An analysis that writes nothing, migration with permissions, dates and authors, and every file checked against the original, with a record of every decision.

  2. Look after

Every night, what you choose: what is still saved on the old server and what someone opened too wide in SharePoint, with the fix ready for your approval.

  3. Operate and analyze

Excel files turned into lists, data moved and transformed between lists, scheduled flows, reports, indicators and alerts when something changes.

  4. Follow up

The assistant speaks first when something needs a decision, also through Teams or email, and shows whether people really moved.

How it works

From a request to a verified result, and then follow-up that does not end at cutover. Eight steps that adapt to each job.

  1. 1

    Connect

An agent installs on your server and connects to your Microsoft 365 with your authorization. Your files go straight from your infrastructure to your cloud.

  2. 2

    Understand

It analyzes without writing anything: how many files there are, who can access what, which names or paths will not fit, what is duplicated or abandoned, what the documents say about themselves.

  3. 3

    Explain

It tells you what it found in plain language, citing Microsoft’s guidance, and points out what needs a decision.

  4. 4

    Propose

It builds the plan as rules: what moves, where, with which permissions and which columns. You see the before and after before anything changes.

  5. 5

    Ask the people who know

Business decisions go to the data owner in a short form. If they do not answer, the lead decides, and the record says who did.

  6. 6

    Run and verify

With your approval it migrates, compares every file with the original and hands you a record of everything that happened.

  7. 7

    Look after

After the migration it keeps checking every night what you choose: what people still save on the old server, permissions someone opened too wide, access the owner needs to reconfirm.

  8. 8

    Follow up

When it finds something that needs a decision, it leaves you a message with what to do, even when you are not signed in. And it helps you run SharePoint by just asking.

I found D:\Datos\Finanzas on the FS01 server. I propose a new site, Finanzas, keeping permissions, authors and dates. Creating it only starts the assessment, which reads and writes nothing.

Capabilities

One platform, one assistant.

Migrate

Move your information to SharePoint Online and OneDrive, complete and with its permissions.

  • From Windows file shares, SharePoint Server, OneDrive, SharePoint Online and Egnyte.
  • Keeps dates, authors and permissions, and version history when the source has it. Stays within Microsoft’s limits so the rest of the company is not slowed down.
  • Incremental, resumable passes: each run copies only what is new or changed, and an interrupted run picks up where it stopped.
  • Creates the destination site, library and folders when they do not exist.

Understand

Before moving anything, you know exactly what you have.

  • An analysis that writes nothing: volume, permissions, names and paths SharePoint does not accept, broad or doubtful access.
  • Files that are duplicated, abandoned, too large or open by someone right now.
  • The properties documents keep inside (title, client, due date), ready to use at the destination.

Organize and transform

Do not copy the mess: say how you want it.

  • Relocation rules in plain language (“everything from 2019 to the archive”) with a preview of what moves.
  • Document properties become SharePoint columns, with transformations such as adding days to a due date or filling in missing values.
  • Names SharePoint rejects are fixed automatically, and the list of changes is kept for users.

Protect

Nobody ends up seeing what they should not.

  • Sendero never grants more access than there was: what it cannot reproduce exactly is held until someone decides.
  • A relocated folder keeps its own permissions, and two folders are never merged into one.
  • If a permission could not be applied, the file does not become visible to more people.

Decide with the owners

Decisions go to the people who know, and who made them is on record.

  • The assistant builds a short form for the data owner: who each account is, which folders go, who sees what.
  • If the owner does not answer, the lead decides and the record says they did it on the owner’s behalf.
  • The exportable migration record is what gets signed at closing.

Verify

Every file compared with the original, not just counted.

  • A fingerprint for every file, and Office documents compared part by part, because SharePoint writes its properties inside them.
  • Dates, authors and permissions read back from SharePoint and compared with the plan.
  • A report of what is right, what is missing and what to do about each item.

Look after

After cutover, Sendero stays.

  • Every night it tells you what is still being saved on the old server in folders already migrated, and who saved it, with the offer to move it to SharePoint.
  • It alerts you when someone opens a folder to more people than approved, and restores it with one click and your approval.
  • If a file was edited both on the server and in SharePoint, it never overwrites the SharePoint version: it waits for you to decide.
  • Periodic recertification with owners: “should these people still see Payroll?”

Operate and analyze your data

Ask in plain words for what you need from your data, and approve it before it happens.

  • New lists from a description: “a list to track hours” becomes columns, types and views you see before they are created.
  • Excel or CSV files turned into lists that stay up to date, with each pass adding only the new rows.
  • Data moved and transformed between lists: dates, times, units and formats, as rules you can read.
  • Flows that run on a schedule or when something changes, with the important steps waiting for approval.
  • Reports, indicators and charts on your lists, and questions like “hours per person this month”. AI writes the query; it never reads your data.
  • Alerts when a value changes or crosses a limit you set.

Follow up

The assistant speaks first when something needs a decision.

  • It leaves you a message in the conversation even when you are not signed in: “two people still save to Sales on the old server; should I move what is new, or do we cut over?”
  • It shows whether people really moved: what is still used on the server and what is used in SharePoint.
  • It reaches you through Teams or email, at most one message a day and always with a proposal of what to do.

Automate

What repeats is scheduled once.

  • Nightly passes while the old server is still in use, until cutover.
  • Reviews and maintenance tasks on a schedule, with the important steps waiting for approval.
  • Alerts when something needs a person.

The assistant

One conversation instead of ten screens, and screens when they help.

  • Understands what you ask, explains what it found and proposes the next step, citing Microsoft’s guidance.
  • Shows tables, previews, progress and approvals where a conversation is not enough.
  • Remembers what it learned about your organization: owners, accounts and decisions, so it never asks twice.

Why trust it

Five principles the product enforces, not promises.

  • Deterministic where it matters, intelligent where it helps.

AI understands, explains and proposes. Copies, permissions and verification are done by an engine that follows rules, the same way every time.

  • AI proposes, a person decides.

Nothing runs without an approved plan, and steps that write to your systems wait for their own approval.

  • Your files never pass through us.

The agent works inside your network: content goes from your infrastructure to your Microsoft 365 without touching Montecode’s servers. AI never sees file contents or your credentials.

  • Never more access than before.

When in doubt, Sendero holds and asks. It deletes nothing at the source and grants no permission that did not exist.

  • Everything is on record.

Who decided what and when, what ran and how it ended: a record you can export and sign.

Frequently asked questions

Does the AI see my files?

No. It sees folder names, accounts and counts, with the option of pseudonyms. File contents and your credentials never reach the model.

Can the AI delete or change something on its own?

No. It proposes plans; an engine with rules runs them, only after approval. Anything that writes to your systems waits for its own approval.

What happens with unusual permissions, like “Everyone” or a deny?

They are held until the owner decides. Sendero never grants more access than there was.

What if the migration stops halfway?

Run it again and it continues where it was. Each pass copies only what is new or changed.

How do I know everything arrived correctly?

Every file is compared with the original, and dates, authors and permissions are read back from SharePoint. The report says what is right and what is missing.

What does Sendero do after cutover?

Every night it checks what you choose (what is still saved on the old server, the permissions), tells you with a proposal of what to do and helps you run SharePoint.

Can Sendero migrate SharePoint Server 2016 and 2019?

Yes. Their extended support ended on July 14, 2026. Sendero moves sites and libraries to SharePoint Online and OneDrive with permissions kept; workflows, InfoPath forms and custom code are rebuilt separately.

Does Sendero migrate from Egnyte?

Yes, to SharePoint Online and OneDrive. Egnyte roles are translated so nobody gets more access than before, and private folders can go to each person’s OneDrive once you approve it.

How is Sendero different from SPMT or ShareGate?

Both move content well. Sendero focuses on the decisions around it: an analysis explained in plain language, permission choices made and recorded by the owners, and every file checked against the original.

Is Sendero only for migrations?

No. Many companies start with a migration, and others start with their data: lists, flows, reports and alerts on what they already have in Microsoft 365. Always with your approval.

Does the assistant message me when I am not signed in?

Yes, when it finds something that needs a decision, such as people still saving to the old server. It leaves you a message with a proposal, at most one a day, and never runs anything without your approval.

Does it work if I am not migrating?

Yes. If you already work in Microsoft 365, Sendero starts with your Excel files and lists: it turns them into lists, moves and transforms data, builds reports and indicators and alerts you when something changes. Talk to us and we set it up with you.

Does it replace Power Automate or Power BI?

It works alongside what you already have. The difference is that you ask in plain words: Sendero proposes the flow or the report as rules you can read, and nothing runs until you approve it.

Where does it run?

An agent on your server does the work with your files; the dashboard and the assistant run in Montecode’s cloud.

How long does it take?

It depends on the volume and on the limits Microsoft sets for your tenant. The initial analysis estimates it with your real data.

Start with one folder or one Excel file.

Sendero analyzes a real folder without writing anything, or takes an Excel file you manage by hand today and turns it into a list with its first report. Talk to us and we set it up with you.
